Presidential Plaza hotel, is it a good location to stay?

Hello there,

I am going Beijing for the first time, mid Apr.

Saw a promo on Presidential Plaza hotel, for 2 nights at USD108. It%26#39;s located at Fuchengmenwai Road,Xicheng District. Is it convenient place to stay?

My other options are:

1. Redwall Hotel (31 Sha Tan North Street)

2. Hua Fu International Hotel (53 Dong An Men street)

3. Days Inn Forbidden City (No.99, Nanheyan street,Dongcheng District)

4. Golden Palace Silver Street Hotel 金府银街大酒店(No. 31 Gan Yu Bystreet, Wang Fu Jing Ave)

5. Harmony Hotel (Dongcheng district)

6. Dong Fang Beijing hotel

which would you recommend?

Thanks.

It%26#39;s not too bad of a location, as it is just off of the 2nd ring road and about 10 minutes walk to the subway. That gives you good access by taxi and decent access by subway.

It is on the West end of town, so a bit further from the airport than most of your options.

The area is average--there are some shops.

Presidential Plaza has often been a pretty good value, in my experience, but read the reviews for recent experiences.

I don%26#39;t know most of the alternatives. Wang Fu Jing is a more interesting and central area to stay, but that is probably not as nice of a hotel.

Days Inn Forbidden City is worth a look, too. Also central, though being central also means you have to spend more time getting out of town to sites like the Great Wall and Summer Palace.

Days in Forbidden City is best.

Hi tricia, I recommend these 2:

3. Days Inn Forbidden City (No.99, Nanheyan street,Dongcheng District)

4. Golden Palace Silver Street Hotel 金府银街大酒店(No. 31 Gan Yu Bystreet, Wang Fu Jing Ave)

Golded palace Silver Street Hotel near Wangfujing street, the shopping and business center.
