I need Z train tickets from Beijing to Xian for next week. However, our hostel/hotel will not get them for us until we arrive.

1) What are the chances of getting four soft sleeper or deluxe soft sleeper tickets 4 days prior to departure?

2) Any suggestions of a reputable travel agent?

Three ways for soft sleeper tickets: 1)Book online from internet or phone 86-10-114 2)When you get in Beijing first go to train ticket office to try 3)Try to look for some agent.

There are some train ticket agents in the streets in bei jing , such as the ICBC bank office in the streets . you will also find most of the hotels have such service and you got to pay service charge for booking the tickets through them . I would say that your hotel DOES have this service . The soft sleeper ticekt of Z train roughly costs around 500 Yuan which includes the booking fee . Please understand that they would not get the train tickets until you show up there/ or already received the money . because the train ticket can not be reserved .

It is nearly impossible to get it yourself though you try it in the railway station .

It is not hard to get three or four days beofre your trip to xian . By the way , you would risk getting tickets not in the same compartment , because the itckets are issued through the computer system , but some times you would be lucky enough . If you got tickets not in the same compartment , ask the conductor onboard to help you exchange it with other passengers . People are easy-going and it is easily done.

In additiong to the Z train, there are also T41/42 , T232 between xian and bei jing .

Ohh touch %26amp; go but you might still get lucky as it%26#39;s not the busy season. Are there 4 of you traveling together? Worse case scenario is if you get tickets you may be split up into different cabins. Then again you may get lucky:))

If you do miss out there would be no problem getting a flight 4 days before tho.

Did you ask your hotel if they can%26#39;t do it can they suggest an agent at least. You will be spending money with them for 4 days after all.
