8 days in HK: Advice on Day Wise Plan

Hello fellow travelers,

I will be traveling with my family (wife, 8 year old daughter, 20 month old son) to Honk Kong for 8 days.

We would love to have some input regarding our itinerary. We hope someone could critically analyze it give us some helpful ideas.

Is this itinerary workable and practical?

Our family鈥檚 prime objective in Hong Kong is to (1) see prominent attractions (2) visit fun spots for kids (3) do lots of bargain (clothes) shopping

Day 1

City Tour, Victoria Harbour, Star Ferry Cruise to go to Kowloon, TST - Harbour Front Views and Shopping, Symphony of Lights Show, Harbour City Shopping Mall for Clothes, Space Museum

Day 2

Stanley Market, Peak Tram, Repulse Bay Near Hotel in Wanchai: (1) Cosmetics Shopping, : Lockhard Road, Kai Chui Road, (2) Clothes Shopping: Johnson Road, Spring Garden Lane, Lee Garden Road, Causeway Bay Shopping Area, (3) Jewelry Shopping: Yee Wo Street, Hennessey Road Near Causeway Bay

Day 3

Kowloon: Bargain Clothes Shopping: Fu Yuen Street, Ladies Market, Temple Street market, Nathan Road Golden Mile Shopping, Bargain Clothes: Granville Road. Jewelry Shopping: Nathan Road,

Day 4

Ngong Ping 360, Giant Buddha, Dolphin Watching, Tsing Ma Bridge View Point

Day 5

Disney Land

Day 6

Disney Land Second Day (is it required? or Day Free

Day 7

Ocean Park, Sky Fair, Other Rides

Day 8

Near Airport: Citi Gate Outlets, Tsing YI Shopping, Inside Airport: Sky Plaza,

Some more questions:

-Is this too much?

-Will we end up commuting too much if we stick to this day wise plan? or we should rearrange the activities?

-if we go by the principle that we should be on one island on a single day to avoid to much commuting - is this day wise plan consistent with the principle - I am not too sure about which activity / spot is on which island.

-What would be the best way to get around the city / islands to do the above itinerary?

-Would taxis be very expensive?

-Is the MTR convenient to navigate with an infant stroller?

-Where can we get vegetarian food (Italian or Indian) near our Wanchai hotel?

Thanks for any help you can give us!

Cheers

I think you missed The Peak, you can do this on day 1 also in place of Harbour City.

Day 4 - you can visit Citygate Outlets on this day since it%26#39;s near NP360. This day should be able to accommodate Harbour City.

1 Day will do for Disneyland.

Day 6 can be spent on a daytrip to Macau.

Taxi%26#39;s are relatively cheap depending where you are coming from.

Yes the MTR should still be convenient as long as you don%26#39;t bring a big stroller.
