best transportation to macau

Hello,

I would just like to seek advice on what%26#39;s the best and quickest transportation to head back to Macau to catch the flight back home if i%26#39;m staying in a hotel at Canton Road, Kowloon?

Our flight back home is at 3:30pm. Do we still get to do anything in the morning in Kowloon before we head back to Macau and catch our flight?

Thanks.

But if budget is an issue, I would go with the cotai ferry it stops literally a few meters from the airport.

Thanks for the valued advice. Where is the Cotai Ferry Terminal located and how long is the trip?

First Ferry departs from Tsimshatsui (China Ferry Terminal), which is closest to you hotel on Canton Road. When you get to Macau, take a taxi to the airport (bus also available at the pier).

If you wake up early you may still walk around before leaving HK, but I think you should get on the boat by 11am the latest, just in case it gets busy at the immigration in Macau.

The CotaiJet terminal in Hong Kong is located near MTR Sheung Wan Station (exit D).

P.S. The MTR trip is about 15 minutes.

You can take Turbojet too. Similar to Cotai but not operated by the casinos.

As you will be flying out from Macau, I assume you will be carrying your luggage with you. In this case I would definitely advise using First Ferry from China Ferry Terminal in Canton Road, as this is the only ferry company which has escalators going all the way down to dock level from immigration (with Cotaijet or Turbojet you have to walk down an external staircase from the gate lounge). The really bizarre thing is that it is easier to reach Macau airport from the main ferry pier on the peninsula than it is from the pier that is nearly next door to the airport. A taxi from the main ferry pier should cost about HK$50, and take under 10 minutes.

If you are travelling on a regular weekday, the 11:30 or even midday ferry will give you plenty of time to reach the airport, but if you are travelling on a weekend or public holiday make sure you are on the 11am boat at the latest - Macau immigration really is THAT bad on weekends.

It also occurs to me that Macau airport has an agreement with Turbojet to run the Sealink service - you can find details on the Macau International Airport website - but there are only four link services a day, so the times are often not convenient.
