one day trip and stay at empire hotel.

we have booked to stay overnight at the empire hotel. we were told to take a taxi there. is this hotel far away from shoppings and the chinese mtr??

we only plan to go to windows of the world and dongmen. from what i have read so far, it seems that wow will be min 4 hours. so we plan to go to dongmen in late morning then to wow. we want to stay for the show and thats why we will stay in shenzhen overnight. or should we just go back to kowloon right after the last show at wow??

any suggestions??

My family just returned from our week long trip to Hong Kong. We had a similar plan - morning at Dongmen and afternoon at Splendid China and then take the train back to Hong Kong after the evening finale. Well, my kids loved shopping and I loved the foot massages and pampering, so we ended up taking the train back to Shenzen another day. It would have been better for us to just stay overnight to avoid the train ride and customs/immigration again.

We would love to exp. as we hear it is very cheap, that said, bit nervous of dodgy places!

Another friend recommended a super spa place called Maya, do you know anything about it?
