Are there any notable extra hassles in travelling in Xinjiang for somebody that looks Han Chinese? Any extra dangers?
Thanks.
Ethnic Travel Hazards in Xinjiang?
Didn%26#39;t encounter anything out-of-the-ordinary when I went in July 2007.
Ethnic Travel Hazards in Xinjiang?
Hi ,
Take everything easy there . Not really sure about the destinations there you are traveling to . Kids love to make a posture before your camera , You got to ask or use your body language to see if photo taking is OK or not . DO NOT take photos of women there unless they allow you to .
I have been there for five time since 2003 . Latest was in last July. I would not suggest you going to some back streets at night . And if you are going to any bazzar , do not ask the price and get further into a price negotiation if you are not interested in buying .
You got to be very CAREFUL in the articles in your luggage when at their airport , They are very strict of what you have in it . Anything in liquid form , lighter , any thing with alcohol content . knife , nail files..etc. If you use Li battery in the camera , put it in the cehck-in luggage if you ever go to kashagr .
GENREALLY , TAKE EVERYTHING EASY .
It is great to travel there .
The issues mentioned about airport and luggage, are common sense for travelling anywhere within China (and in the world).
Absulutely safe for everybody in Xinjaing. You don%26#39;t need to worry about it.
