Gongbei to Seafood St to Wanzai Ferry

Hi

1)May i know is the Wanzai Ferry within walking distance from the wanzai seafood street? If by taxi about how much?

2)Is Wanzai ferry pronounce as ';Wan Zai Tu Loon'; in chinese?

3)Is Wanzai seafood street a very long stretch of road? Where is the best meeting point to tell the taxi driver? Am asking as my group of 10 would need 3 taxi from gongbei.

I was thinking after my shopping spree at GongBei will take a taxi to the Wanzai seafood street, after eating will head back to macau by ferry if possible as we are travelling in a group of 10 with baby %26amp; elderly.

Gongbei to Seafood St to Wanzai Ferry

1. Across the road

2. I know it as Wan Zai Kou An (border or ';mouth';)

3. Not sure;

Note that if you planning to eat lunch, the Wanzai Ferry closes for 2 hours for lunch! Last crossing is at 4:30pm.

Gongbei to Seafood St to Wanzai Ferry

Just got back from zhuhai %26amp; macau.

We are a group of 7, took two cabs from gongbei underground shopping mall. cost us RMB17 per cab. NB: signboard states no bargaining for taxi fare.

the seafood stalls are housed inside a building. Outside the building, is a row of restaurants whereby you get to choose how you wish to have your seafood cooked (ie steam, fry, etc)

For your info, we had a big headache then... because the restaurants representative will keep persuading you to patronise their restaurants.

After our lunch, the restaurant as promised, arrange a `bread van%26#39; to send us back to Gongbei Custom. Paid RMB 30 for the van (i think can sit eight people).

Zhuhai %26amp; BBH,

Thank you for the info:)

Hi BBH

1. Was it difficult to cross from Macau to Zhuhai?

2. How do you tell the cab driver where you want to go? (the seafood place that you talk about)

3. Did you go for Hot Spring when you are @ Zhuhai?

4. Where did u stay when u r @ Zhuhai ?%26amp; Macau? Any reviews?

Hi

1) very easy - like going to JB. Take bus to border gate (or barrier gate `kwan chia%26#39; as it is called). Immigration office is housed there. Previously the bus stops right in front of the building, now need to walk. Fyi we took bus 33 and seek help from the bus driver to inform us where to alight. No problem at all. Like S`pore, the bus stop has signboard listing the route of each service - very convenient)

(NB: u may call the Macau Embassy in S`pore to ask them to send u the free guide book and map - they even send u guide to recommend u where to go for nice food)

2) the place is `wanzhai hai sian jie%26#39; (seafood street)

3) we stayed in Oceanspring Resort in Zhuhai. Hotel is very far away from custom - abt one %26amp; half hr ride. They have more than 40 types of hot spring there like red wine, tangkwei, coffee, milk, essential oil, lingzhi, etc. (need to pay RMB168 to use) Hotel has a themepark next to it. But due to coldness, not a nice time to stay in this hotel during this period.

4) We stayed in Hotel Taipa in Macau. Hotel serves sumptous buffet breakfast and is located near 4 faced buddha. Basically rooms are clean and staff nice.

Hi BBH

Thank you so much for the information.

I will be staying at Ocean Spring Resort too... Hopefully, it will not be that cold by April :)

I will definitely try out the seafood there... my friend recommended Ching Yah Siang Seafood... will try my best to find it.. if not, will juz settle for anyone there... :)

In Macau, I will be staying at East Asia Hotel. Will check with Macau Embassy as advised with regards to the maps. Thanks.
