Guangzhou via Szenzhen

Someone suggested that I could stop off at Szenzhen on my way back to Hong Kong from Guangzhou. We are going to Guangzhou for the day. We are planning on having a gown made in Szenzhen and will have to go there at least twice to have the gown fitted. is this feasible? I thought that we would be taking the train to and from Guangzhou.

Once you crossed the border from Hong Kong into China, you can travel back and forth between Shenzhen and Guangzhou by way of express trains. Costs about RMB75 one way, and the trip takes one hour. Trains depart every 15 minutes from Shenzhen station at Luohu (Lo Wu), to Guangzhou East Station.

To get to Shenzhen from Hong Kong, you have to take East Rail Line to Lo Wu, not the Intercity thru trains which go directly to GZ skipping SZ.

Alternatively, if you%26#39;re feeling a little adventurous, once you get to LoWu, there%26#39;s a bus terminal directly under the mall (LoWu Commercial City) where you can get %26#39;luxury%26#39; buses to GZ. The buses stop a fair distance away from the East Station--I often take the bus if I%26#39;m going to the garment market or the watch market since it drops me off a lot closer than the train would.

You have to ';pass through'; Shenzhen to get to Guangzhou. Normally you would take a through train which does not stop at the border. But there is no reason why you should not take the local trains/buses instead.
