how many days in Beijing

Hi All,

I am doing a stop over in Beijing this summer. Can anyone advise how many days I shoudl allocate and the best way to spend the time there? I am flexible when it comes to time and what to make most of it

There is lots to see in Beijing %26amp; it%26#39;s a great city to visit. Minimum 4 nights. A week would be good if you could spare the time.

As for the best way to spend your time then if you do a search on Beijing itinerary on this forum you will come up with lots of ideas %26amp; what things are best to group together for your says days sightseeing.

Lonely Planet also put out a guide book just for Beijing %26amp; The DK eyewitness guides have a good one for Beijing %26amp; Shanghai combined.

3 days is enough to see the important highlights.However if you prefer easy itinerary,wondering around,4-10 days

4-5 days for the usual major must-sees, 6-7 days if you want to be more in-depth or leisurely, or anything longer as long as you like/can afford!

3 days means that you%26#39;d be either rushing, or skipping something.

For the city alone, probably around 2-3 days.
