Can anyone recommend organised tours, which pick up and drop off at the hotel in Kowloon I%26#39;ll be staying at?
Thanks,

Tours in Hong Kong
Most hong kong city tours last for just a couple of hours and usually covers these areas: Somewhere near The Peak but not inside the peak nor the tram. 1 or 2 jewelry factories - tourist traps. The mid-levels of HK island. Aberdeen - Jumbo / Sampan ride for an additional charge. Stanley and Stanley market. And some factory outlet.
Honestly almost everyone here will not recommend joining the city tour, HK is extremely easy to get around and travelling on your own adds to the thrill of the adventure. They have some of the world%26#39;s best public transportation system and as long as you have a map, you don%26#39;t have a problem.
Tours in Hong Kong
Greenarcher is spot on. The only time I take organised tours in HK are when I go horseracing (executive box) and night tours, off the beaten track.
I wanted to go to Lamma Island for a seafood meal and rather than take an organised tour, I did some on-line research and found a restaurant with it%26#39;s own boat that picks you up from Kowloon.
With a good public transportation network and most signs bilingual with English, HK is very easy to get around so there is no need to join organised tours in my opinion. Most of what you will want to see can be reached by the subway/train network. Attractions on the south side of HK Island can be reached by simple bus rides. Outer islands can be reached by ferries. I highly suggest you explore on your own. Ask for information here or at your hotel concierge.
Be careful when shopping near your hotel -

Hi, I agree with the previous posts and undertstand that it is very easy to get about yourself rather than go on tours, but we are only there for 5 days in April and I wanted to make sure everything was all booked before we arrived so that we got to see everything we planned on seeing each day. I used Viator.com and have booked about 4 tours with them. I have used them before when visiting other countries and they have been great. They send you a voucher and detailed location information so that you can meet your guide or they can pick you up from your hotel at no additional costs. As I have used them before, I would def recommend them if you are on a tight timescale and want to see everything while you are there!!
Hi There,
I would like to eat seafood at Lamma Island, any recommendation of the eating place there? And I heard there is a restaurant with their own boat who does pick up the guests from Kowloon and HK Island, perhaps anyone know about it? Thank you so much.
The restaurant with its own boat is Rainbow Seafood Restaurant;

Thank you!
Agree with many of the other posts. Don%26#39;t take a tour - it will waste your time sitting in traffic on a bus, visiting factory shops where you feel pressured to buy etc. Use the metro ans buses and find your own way - it%26#39;s cheap and so easy and very comfortable. Drop by the tourist office which is at the Star Ferry on Kowloon side near your hotel. Pick up their guide and a map and off you go.
There are signs in English everywhere.
