3 days in Lhasa does not give you long to acclimatise.

We just returned from our fourth trip with OAT (Overseas Adventure Travel).

On our latest tour, Route of the Maya, we had another absolutely fantastic tour director. Aside from visits to the Mayan Ruins, he helped us to understand the Mayan culture and the people of the countries that we visited. The tour included activities that weren%26#39;t even mentioned in the brochure. There was so much variety - most of the transportation was in the very comfortable small bus - but we also experienced a river boat, a ';chicken bus';, and a ';chicken truck';. Fun, Fun, Fun. We visited a Mayan school and had lunch with a Mayan family. We traveled to a market day in a volcanic hilltop Mayan village.

The people that we have traveled with have always been experienced travelers - most people having traveled with OAT to various fantastic destinations. The tour participants have been age 50+ and very active. On three of our trips, there were 15 people, and on one there were only 11 people. The maximum number of people is 16. We have traveled to Australia, Croatia %26amp; Slovenia, Peru, and Central America with OAT. All of our tours with them have been fantastic.
