Leaving for Hong Kong tomorrow

Hi everyone,

this trip is very last minute as my husband has just walked out on my kids and i and he said we couldn%26#39;t go. last night he said i could take the kids. i have 3 nights accom booked at disneyland and i have friends who live near the causeway bay.

i have two young kids 3 and 6 and am looking at a nice hotel to stay nearby. i don;t want to have too long a walk to train station.

i was thinking of metropark, does anyone have any suggestions.

thank you for the help at such late notice.

also, what is the weather like?

The Metropark in Causeway Bay (no the) would be fine. It%26#39;s been raining over the last few weeks and slightly cooler, so I%26#39;d bring a couple of sweatshirts/light jackets that you can throw over a t-shirt in case it warms up over the next few days. An umbrella or two wouldn%26#39;t hurt either.

Metropark in Causeway Bay gets good reviews here, and it%26#39;s close to the MTR (Tin Hau Station), the tram line, and the airport bus. The neighbourhood is not as busy as the center of CWB so you can be a bit more relaxed. Park Lane and Excelsior are closer to CWB proper, and convenient also.

The weather will get a little chilly over the weekend, and you may encounter some sprinkles.

We stayed at the Metropark at Christmas, it%26#39;s a good introduction for young kids, because it%26#39;s slightly less crowded around that particular area. Our young son was a bit freaked out by so many people at first when we stayed closer to the centre. However it%26#39;s perfectly possible to walk to the shopping areas in about 15 or 20 minutes through the park, or its five minutes from an MTR station, though you do have to cross a couple of roads. The staff are nice, the views are good if you get a harbour view room. Ideally you might want one of their parlour rooms which are much larger, but I%26#39;m sure with just to littlies you could probably stay in a normal room without too much trouble. There is a rooftop swimming pool which you can take the kids up to if they get bored. The train service is so good you%26#39;ll have no trouble getting to places you want to go to presumably Disneyland?

I agree with all of the above. We stayed there last October and were very happy with it. If you can stretch it to a harbourview room, you won%26#39;t regret it.The train station is right across the way and you are also handy to the trams and buses.I hope you all have a good time. It sounds like you might need it.

Thank you all so much for your help, it means more to me than you will probably know.

When i get back i will leave some feedback.
