Macau to DisneyLand - which ferry to take from Macau?

Hi everyone

We%26#39;ll be travelling from Macau (Holiday Inn) to Disney Land (haven%26#39;t decided which Disney hotel yet) in May 2009.

Was wondering which is the easiest option considering we%26#39;ll have luggage and children (ages 7 and 9):

1. First Ferry to Kowloon, then taxi from China Ferry Terminal to Disney hotel

2. Turbojet to Hong Kong Island, then MTR from Sheung Wan to Sunny Bay. Perhaps needing too much changing of train lines and carting bags around?

Any other suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks

Hi Tric, I%26#39;m going to suggest a third option that I think will be easier with kids %26amp; luggage:

Take Macau Holiday Inn%26#39;s shuttle bus to the main ferry terminal and catch Turbojet to HK island, then take a taxi to Disney. There%26#39;s just no way to wrestle luggage and young %26#39;uns on the MTR when you%26#39;re all in a strange place, quite apart from all the train changing!

Because the taxis can use the western harbour tunnel they actually miss quite a bit of the traffic that a cab from Kowloon would have to get through, so it can be quicker.

Last time I caught a taxi from beneath the Macau Ferry Terminal in HK they had separate queues for HK island and Kowloon taxis on opposite sides of the access road, so look for signs at the head of the ranks and get a Kowloon cab.

Oissan, thanks so much for your advice. I will definitely be taking your option # 3.

It was exactly what I needed to hear - a third and logistically easier option.

I have been in HK numerous times before but never with having to worry about transferring from points A to B to C and back again with kids and luggage.

Thanks again!
