Mosque in Macau

Can somebody tell me the easiest way to go to Macau mosque? It is situated on the way to Macau Grand Prix track. If it is by taxi, how much will it cost approximately? Shall we also ask the taxi driver to wait for us while we perform our prayer?

Where in Macau will you be coming from? From many areas it is possible to walk to the mosque, otherwise I can give public transport instructions. It is on a narrow street, near the northern end of the Grand Prix circuit and overlooking the water reservoir. There is no room inside or outside the grounds for a taxi to wait.

I have not plan any itinerary yet. But it will be grat if you could give the directions if we are either from the ferry pier(fisherman wharf) or from senado square.

From Fishermen%26#39;s Wharf it is quite a pleasant walk if you are not carrying luggage. From the closer end of FW it should be about 20 minutes at a leisurely pace: use one of the overhead walkways to cross the road to cross the reservoir (directly in front of the ferry pier, which is just next door to FW). Follow the reservoir around to the left, past the children%26#39;s playground, nearly to the far side of the traffic flyover. You will see a couple of raised metal footpaths leading off to the left - take the one on the right and follow it up a small slope, past an old barracks on the right, until you reach the first road (there is a school %26amp; small sportsground on the opposite side of the road). Turn right up this narrow road, and the mosque is on the right, just past the back of the barracks.

From Senado Square you could catch the #2 bus travelling towards Iao Hon. The journey takes 15 - 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Be looking out the right hand side of the bus, and when you see the water reservoir, ring the bell, and alight at the next stop. Walk back down the road that the bus came on, and the mosque is about 150 yards down on your left.

Of course it is also possible to catch taxis - remember to collect one of the free tourist maps when you arrive in Macau, as most of the drivers don%26#39;t speak any English - but note that because of the many narrow one-way streets this would not be much quicker than walking from FW.

Ooisan thank you!
