Overnight train from Beijing to Datong

Hi

Do you know if there are train with soft sleeper from Beijing to Datong and back. From the schedules on chinatravelguide, it appears that the overnight trains only have soft/hard seats, but not sleepers.

Where can I take the bus from Beijing to Datong?

19 departures from Liuliqiao from 0710 to 1800, fare is 119/132 RMB (different types of bus, I presume). Just in case you%26#39;re interested, there%26#39;s also a departure to Yingxian (for the Wooden Pagoda) at 1600, fare 99 RMB.

Stupid site for Zhaogongkou is down, too bad.

Last year i did the tour to Datong,we got the soft sleeper,so overnight train works

But you are right,i checked the Chinese website abou t he tickets,they only sell the seats...if this is ture,is better choose the long distance bus

Or sometimes you can get very good discount plane tickets,fly to there,then long discount bus back
