Hi, I know it%26#39;s an old British cliche but we are 4 lads coming to Hong Kong for the Easter Weekend, staying at the Nikko hotel by the Intercontinental. First trip to HKG for all of us. Was just wondering where the main bar areas are, where the tourists and expats normally party and was hoping for a rough idea on drinks/food prices? Can%26#39;t wait, thanks for your help (in advance)......
Lads weekend to Hong Kong!
The best expat bar district is Lan Kwai Fong over the Island side at Central. It%26#39;s a bit expensive though as drinks can range from HK$60 to $100+. You can buy cheap beer just down the street at 7-11 and drink outside the bars if you wish.
The second happening area filled with expats, a little chepaer but a little seedier (perfectly safe) is at the intersection of Lockhart Road and Luard Road, Wan Chai. There are many bars as well as places with entertainment for men. As somebody foreign looking, you will almost certainly be solicited.
Note that the subway (MTR) shuts down by 1am. A taxi back to Nikko from either Wan Chai or Central costs around HK$70.
