is there an mbk?

Can anyone tell me if any of the shopping malls are similar to Bangkok%26#39;s MBK?

I don%26#39;t know Bangkok%26#39;s MBK but you there are details of all HK%26#39;s major shopping malls here;

HK has a lot of malls. They tend to be upmarket. I think more upmarket than MBK. (according to me mum)

no - I have been to MBK in Bangkok but never seen anything comparable in Hong Kong. The malls in Hong Kong are more upmarket with designer labels.

I agree, no malls in HK similar to MBK. Most of them are comparable to Central World Plaza / Siam Paragon.

MBK is better than any malls in HK. Much better overall experience.

No comparable mall in Hong Kong, as said above. But the streets and markets in Mongkok, as a whole, is somewhat similar. For example Sai Yeung Choi Street, Fa Yuen Street, Ladies Market, Temple Street Market... You will find street stalls as well as second/third tier malls that sell clothing, accessories, electronics and other stuff not normally found at the big malls.

None are as good (or as cheap) as MBK (or Platinum Mall). Found the Argyle Center (MTR Argyle Street D2 exit) which sells good cheap clothing and fashion items. I believe this is where the locals shop as it was always packed with locals and can get quite claustrophic as it is not as big and spacious as MBK. Best to check it during weekday.

Thanks for your replies. I imagine then that the malls will be too upmarket for us, but we%26#39;re staying in Mongkok and will be going to Ladies and Temple Markets, and also to Stanley.
