Hi All,
Has anyone ever visit a Modern Toilet Restaurant in Hong Kong/
Where is the restaurant, and how to get there if I am in Monkok?
Is it worth a try? Sound very unhealthy!!??
Thanks
Modern Toilet Restaurant240 Portland Street, opposite Langham Place office tower / mall. Gimmick, gimmick.
Modern Toilet Restauranthas anyone been here and are the prices ok,we would like to try it as something different.
It is a concept restaurant,
casual
not so expensive
serves rice dishes, spaghetti dishes etc on toilet themed crockery
http://www.moderntoilet.com.tw/en/menu01.asp (this is the taiwan branch)
more or less thats%26#39; what they serve. about 50 to 60 hkd a dish.
worth a try - yes go there for the ambiance more than anything else.
ps. it is across langham place in mongkok and opens at 12 noon.
I just can%26#39;t understand WHY anyone would want to relate appetizing food and TOILET together.
hi kate
novelty is a big hit in taiwan like their prison themed restaurants
modern toilet concept came from taiwan.
some people just see the light side of it that%26#39;s all.
5678, yes... I am in and out of Taipei quite a bit now.... but I just CANNOT understand it at all. Definitely NOT my cup of tea.... I draw the line there. Even Novelty should have some limits.
yea i think it kinda grosses me out just thinking about it... just doesn%26#39;t relate to me...especially if the dish your eating actually looks like urine or droppings...
Hi all,
I just got back from HK and had a chance to visit this restaurant, it does not worth a visit, don%26#39;t bother. The time I visited was 6 pm, the restaurant was totally empty, the menu was so bad. It was in the building that all the business already closed down too. Go see something else.
errr... you don%26#39;t go to place like this for the food .... you go to these places because of the novelty... period.
Yes, the point of the restaurant is more of the concept and decor, not the food.
