Salisbury YMCA - prices

Does the Salisbury typically run any promotions for the summer time (stay is only for 3 days)? Right now their family suite is $200 and harbor view suite $245, as listed on their website. I can%26#39;t find anything any cheaper on other sites.

Would love to stay here, as it%26#39;s gotten such amazing reviews on TA and the view would be incredible... but a bit beyond our budget. (We do need a suite since we are 2adults/2kids.)

Should I keep hoping on finding a better price, or look elsewhere?

What city are you talking about? No harbor in Beijing so no such thing as harborview???

The Salisbury YMCA in Hong Kong.

Have you tried booking through an online agent? Price might be cheaper. Otherwise, just get a normal room, and enjoy the view for free from Tsim Sha Tsui promenade.

Yup, it is in Hong Kong and we too are looking at it for a trip next summer (family of 3). I get the feeling that they generally do not offer discounts and you may even need to reserve well in advance - it is one of 2 places we will likely reserve a couple months ahead.

Two other suggestions for families -

The French company Novotel often lets 2 kids up to age 16 share rooms with parents (other chains let 1-2 kids up to age 12 only). Thus chances are good for our trip to Beijing that we will opt for the Novotel Peace hotel.

Wotof.com is an Australian company that sells off hotels%26#39; unsold rooms, often at a discount, but only the month before you leave. They often have good deals and, if you look carefully at their options... you can see if more than 2 people are allowed in rooms and the price for additional beds.
