3 whole days is enough to cover the main sights and common must-sees in HK. but as always, staying longer will allow you to see more things and take things slower.

if you need to stay near bars, i suggest tsim sha tsui in kowloon or central district in HK island.

3 days is not enough, main sights include -

Victoria Peak

Hollywood Road area

Lan Kwai Fong (bars)

Lantau Island

Happy Valley Horseracing

Ocean Park

Stanley

Star Ferry

Victoria Harbour

Ladies Market

Cheung Chau island

Dim Sum lunch

Central Distict is where the Lan Kwai Fong bars are, Causeway Bay has literally hundreds of shops and restaurants.

We had 3 days and did most of the above recommendations and went up the peak both day and night. It would have been good to have longer as there was other trips to do but you will be able to see the main sights if you%26#39;re prepared to get up and out all day.

p.s there%26#39;s a good walk on Lamma island which is around 2 hours if I remember. you walk from one side to the other and can get a ferry back to HK so you only walk one way. We could have spent more time in HK but if you%26#39;re pushed, 3 days is fine.

You will see most of what%26#39;s important in HK in three days. You probably won%26#39;t get to the outlying islands though or get a real feel of the city%26#39;s pace. An extra day or two can make your trip much more complete.
