Where to stay Shanghai

Hi All,

We are visiting Shanghai this weekend just for a couple of days and not sure what area is best to stay in ? We want to look at all the markets and enjoy a bar or two at night. We would like a reasonable priced hotel say around 4 star ?? Any suggestions ??

';All the markets';? I%26#39;m not sure which you had in mind. Shanghai%26#39;s government has been rather fanatical about moving vendors indoors.

What%26#39;s your definition of ';reasonably priced';? For a 4-star, try Donghu Hotel, Pacific Hotel, Central Hotel, Salvo Hotel etc.

For area, try the French Concession. Alternatively around People%26#39;s Square/Nanjing Lu pedestrian street. Make sure you%26#39;re walking distance to a metro stop.

Thanks for that im not really sure what there is to do so that makes it hard and only being there for a couple of days makes it harder. I will check out those hotels thank you.

Still in Shangai till end of this week stayed at Charms Hotel off Nanjing Lu .. 3* hotel but gd location ... paid like 80 USD from Zuji..
