Is Shenzhen shopping better than HK?

I would like to do shopping in SZ and HK, wonder which one will give a better deal in quality staff. (eg clothings, bags, shoes) How is shopping in MixC compared to HK malls?

It%26#39;s two different markets.

In HK you pay more to get quality-ensured products. Of course you can sometimes get good deals in neighbourhood places but it%26#39;s sometimes tough for visitors in my opinion.

In SZ everywhere is cheaper than HK in most cases. But it%26#39;s hard to determine whether stuff is really good quality unless you are paying good attention. Plus you need some good bargaining skill.

So it really depends on what kind of shopper you are.

Any idea, if Ladies Mkt in HK have the same stuff in DongMen Shenzen?

MixC reminds me of every other generic shopping mall in Hong Kong or Sydney or Singapore. It has a ice skating rink (Level 3?), a large supermarket in the basement and also has an IMAX theatre. I couldn%26#39;t see that the prices were much different to Hong Kong. I actually prefer to get away from the border and go further into Shenzhen (a few stops after MixC) and there are many many shops that are more interesting and less tourist orientated.

It totally depends what you are looking for. If you are looking for quality stuff, you are much better off to shop in Hong Kong. SZ is good for food, and cheaper too, but that%26#39;s about it. HK has a much better choice of quality stuff (if you know where to go), and you can often get a very good deal.
